2013-2014 CHAPTER EVENTS
 
August 18, 25, 2013 Bach MasterWorks: The Great Eighteen Chorales. Organist Katherine Crosier will present the complete Leipzig Chorales with the Bach Chamber Choir at the Lutheran Church of Honolulu. Two consecutive Sunday afternoons at 2 pm. Proceeds will benefit the Scholarship Programs of the Hawaii Chapter, American Guild of Organists. Admission, $20/each concert or $35/both concerts.

September 22, 2013 Opening AGO Worship Service, 5:30 pm, St. Andrew's Cathedral. Officers of the Hawaii Chapter will be installed in this Evensong service. A reception will follow.

October 20, 2013 Oahu Sacred Music Festival, 5:30 pm, St. Andrew's Cathedral. The Hawaii AGO Chapter is a co-sponsor of this event. To register, click here.

January 10, 2014 Dean's Reception at the Pacific Club, 5:00-7:00 pm. Free to Hawaii Chapter members.

February 17, 2014 President's Day Organ Crawl

March 9, 2014 Michael Crisostomo Hey, Guest Organist plays the Ninth Annual Organ Concert at St. Andrew's Cathedral, 3:00 pm. 

“Flashy and exciting” are just two of the words used to describe Michael Crisostomo Hey’s performance of Jean Guillou’s technically demanding Toccata at the 2012 National Convention of the American Guild of Organists in Nashville, TN.

 

Currently in the Masters program at The Juilliard School studying under Paul Jacobs, Mr. Hey is a full-tuition recipient of the Alice Tully, the Bidu Sayao, The Noble Foundation, and the Juilliard Organ scholarships. He presently serves as Assistant Organist at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in Manhattan and is under great demand by numerous chamber ensembles in the New York area.
