The Hawaii Chapter has a number of scholarships available:
Donald Conover Scholarship Fund. The Fund is available to any Hawaii resident and will be used to pay for one-half the cost of organ lessons up to $600 for the first year and $300 for the second or third year. Students will pay their teacher half of the cost of lessons which are matched by their scholarship award, and the entire cost of lessons after their awards have been completed. Applications will be received from August 31st to September 5, 2026, for the scholarship period October 2026 through September 2027. Auditions will be held on September 12, 2026 between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1404 University Avenue, Honolulu, HI, 96822.
The American Guild of Organists Hawaii Chapter will determine the number of awards to be given, based upon a percentage of the funds currently available. Organ instructors must be Hawaii Chapter AGO members in good standing. Award preference will be given to new applicants.
